The Exhausting Process of Elimination: When Fixing the Problem Feels Like the Problem 😩🔄

Sometimes, the only way to figure out what’s not working is to start removing things, one by one. 🧩 It sounds simple—just try different things until you find the problem, right? But in reality, the process of elimination can be mentally draining. 😵‍💫

Why? Because it requires a level of hyper-awareness that isn’t always natural. You have to pay close attention to everything—what you eat 🍽️, how you spend your time ⏳, the habits you fall back on 🔄, and even the thoughts you entertain 🤯. It’s like running a never-ending experiment on yourself, testing different variables to figure out what’s affecting your mood, energy, health, or progress. And when you’re constantly monitoring yourself, it can start to feel like there’s no room to just be.

Then comes the irony: when I get tired of being so aware, I crave relief. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I want to do something to unwind, to stimulate, to escape the endless tracking and testing. But often, the very things I reach for in those moments—sugar 🍫, scrolling 📱, distractions 🎮—are the same things I should be eliminating. It’s a frustrating cycle: I eliminate to feel better, but the process itself is so exhausting that I turn to the very habits I’m trying to quit. 😖

So how do you push through without feeling like you’re driving yourself crazy? 🤔 Maybe the key is shifting how we see elimination—not as punishment 🚫, but as an act of self-care. 💖 Instead of focusing on what I’m taking away, I try to remind myself of what I’m making space for—more clarity 🧘🏾‍♀️, more energy ⚡, and more alignment with what I actually want. 🎯

The process of elimination isn’t easy—it’s overwhelming, frustrating, and tiring. 😤 But in the long run, it’s worth it. Because when you clear out what’s not serving you, you finally make space for what will. ✨🙌🏾
