The Animated Life of Olivia F. Scott: From Corporate Branding to Freedom at the Mat

At Living An Animated Life, our mission goes beyond visual storytelling—it’s about expressing the dynamic ways we, as women, navigate our roles. Whether as wives 👰🏾, daughters 👧🏽, mothers 🤱🏼, or sisters 👭🏿, we all live animated lives, full of challenges, transitions, and triumphs. These stories connect us, and Living An Animated Life is a place where we can come together—like a village 🏘️. You’ve probably heard the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Well, we believe it takes a village to support and inspire each other through life, and that’s exactly what this blog is meant to be: a place where we lift each other up and share our journeys 🌟.

Olivia F. Scott is a perfect example of how that village support can help us grow 🌱. As her roles in life evolved—from working in the corporate world 💼 to becoming a wellness advocate 🧘🏾‍♀️, from being a daughter and wife to a mentor for others—Olivia learned that each experience taught her something she could bring back to the village. Her story is one of transformation, resilience, and sharing those lessons with others 🌈.

In this video, “Freedom at the Mat: The Magical Journey of Olivia,” you’ll see a fairytale representation of her incredible journey. From her rise in the world of marketing to her pivotal shift toward wellness 🌿, this animation tells Olivia’s story of how she created Freedom At The Mat—a safe, healing space for women 💖.

I had the privilege of asking Olivia some key questions about her journey. When asked what inspired her to pivot from a successful marketing career to founding Freedom At The Mat, she shared:

“I went through a divorce in 2014, and during that time, yoga became a powerful healing tool for me. It was something I never expected to bring me so much peace, but it opened me up to the idea that this mat could be a sanctuary for all women.” 🧘🏽‍♀️

Olivia also reflected on the challenges she faced as an entrepreneur:

“The hardest part was believing in myself—believing that I had everything I needed to start this new chapter. It was about finding the confidence to take that first step.” 💪🏾

As an established mentor, Olivia has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including the Essence Festival 🎤 for over 10 years. Yet, she took the time to sit down with us, a growing blog, to share her wisdom and insights. I deeply admire her and am grateful to feature her story here on Living An Animated Life 💫.
